Together with the company Spelsberg, adesso has developed a cloud platform that transfers the customer's most unusual product to date into the digital world: networked bike charging stations (BCS) that enable charging without having to carry your own charger. The cloud platform can be used to call up station statistics, analyse statuses and even control them via an app and web portal.
Companies - for example in the hotel and catering industry - are increasingly offering their customers charging facilities for e-bikes. In order to make the charging experience convenient not only for end customers, the cloud solution created offers centralised management including statistics, analyses and options for restricting access.
The data from the charging stations - for example the availability of free charging points - can also be integrated into third-party systems such as navigation systems via a provided API.
How can the data from e-bike charging stations be used effectively for marketing and customer analyses? We don't want to give too much away just yet, but a meaningful link is also possible here.
The com2m Smart Product Platform is the basis for the developed IoT solution, which networks the charging stations via mobile communications and provides use-case-specific processes and services. The target architecture was implemented on Microsoft Azure, with Angular serving as the front-end technology for the dashboard of the management web application.
Spelsberg is a leading company in the electrical industry with over 115 years of experience in electrical installation and enclosure technology. The company is active worldwide, produces consistently in Germany and employs a total of around 450 people.
